My Favorite Hobby in the entire world is looking at houses.  It doesn't matter in what form either through Magazines, home tours, simple drive by's,  I do it as often as I can.   I came across this home on the  Simply - Chateau Blog a few weeks ago and can't stop thinking about it.  Located in the French Countryside on a Charming Farm, it is so enchanting that it makes me want to plan a vacation there and hunt it down to see it in person.  It is so romantic with a sad story that you can read about  here on her blog.  I had an actual dream about this home this very Valentine Morning and thought maybe some of you would appreciate seeing it as well

"...Divine Oeil de boeuf zinc windows and that sweet little bell....."
"....pointy roofs, zinc finials...tall stone chimnies and tiny windows....."
"A turret that houses a twisting stone staircase..."

Do you have a dream home that haunts you when you sleep or I am the only crazy one?

Own a Piece of Waco History

I know I have mentioned this many times before, but I have an incredibly talented husband who loves to build things for our store.  We were blessed to get our hands on the wood that came out of the 100+ year old building that used to house the Waco Tribune Herald newspaper in Waco at 6th and Franklin.  The building was recently demolished to become the new Franklin Place which we are very excited about as well.  This wood is the best we have ever seen.  It is super heavy, thick, extremely beautiful, 20 foot and longer boards of old long leaf pine.  We can make almost anything out of it for your home.   All the tables in the shop made of this wood have already sold and we have received multiple orders.  If you are interested, order now as supplies are dwindling, but we always have a stash of reclaimed wood ready to make any furnishings you desire.

Below is an article profiled on us in February's issue of Wacoan magazine.

You dream it, they’ll make it. Bloom & Bee Swanky offers custom made furniture crafted from reclaimed materials. Whatever your furniture needs are, from bookshelves to entertainment units to tables, benches and kitchen islands, Bloom & Bee Swanky is ready to serve you. With a variety of colors, finishes and styles to choose from, your piece will truly be one-of-a-kind. Whether you prefer traditional or modern, rustic or urban, they’ll  design a quality piece of furniture that matches your lifestyle. Each piece of wood used has been salvaged from Downtown Waco and the surrounding areas, some more than 100 years old, creating a solid sentimental piece of furniture for you to treasure. Superior craftsmanship, excellent artistry and attention to detail ensure that these pieces are destined to become family heirlooms.  Surprisingly affordable, your satisfaction is their priority, and you’ll receive the customer service you deserve in the design and building process.  Visit Bloom & Bee Swanky to view samples of what can be made for you!

He will probably kill me for for posting this.  Here is the craftsman himself finishing up a custom farm table for the Castillo family.  Notice the beautiful table top in the background.  I assure you this photo was not staged.  He didn't even know I had my camera.  He is just joyfully doing what he does best.

He was probably laughing at these guys!  Meet the wood shop helpers troublemakers!
